Dr Becky Waldram
Becky works within the SUSTAIN Future Steel Manufacturing Research Hub as the Impact & Engagement Manager, across the Hub themes of Carbon Neutral Iron & Steelmaking and Smart Steel Processing.
Becky studied Sports Materials Engineering at Swansea, before continuing on to complete a Master's in Steel Technology and a Doctorate in Materials Engineering in partnership with the Royal Mint. She completed her EngD on the topic of corrosion, investigating the behaviour of nickel-plated steel under various environmental conditions.
As part of her role, Becky is involved with the publicity around the project. This includes development and maintainance of the project website, and developing the Hub’s profile on both LinkedIn and Twitter. She has also visted school across South Wales, exhibited at careers events and to the general public at science fairs, to raise awareness of Materials Engineering and the SUSTAIN project.
